How to Copy a Spotify Song, Playlist or Album Link
Every share starts with a link. Where to find it for songs, playlists, albums and artists on every device.

To share a song with a friend or open it in Spot Downloader, you need its Spotify link. Here is where to find the link for songs, playlists, albums and artists on every device.
In the Spotify app (iPhone and Android)
A song:
- Tap ⋯ next to the song (or on the Now Playing screen).
- Tap Share.
- Tap Copy link.
A playlist, album or artist: open it, tap ⋯ under the title (or the share icon), then Share → Copy link.
In the desktop app (Windows and Mac)
- Right-click the song, playlist, album or artist.
- Choose Share → Copy Song Link (or Copy link to playlist, Copy Album Link, Copy Artist Link).
Hold Alt (Windows) or Option (Mac) while the Share menu is open to see Copy Spotify URI instead, a code like spotify:track:…. Spot Downloader accepts both.
In the web player
At open.spotify.com, open the song’s album, the playlist or the artist and copy the address bar, or use ⋯ → Share → Copy link.
What Spotify links look like

Links from other countries can include a language part like /intl-de/, and many end with ?si=… (a sharing code). Both are fine to paste.
Using the link in Spot Downloader
- Open Spot Downloader.
- Tap Paste, then Open.
- A song shows straight away; a playlist, album or artist shows its list of songs.
- Press Download next to a song, or Download all for the whole list.
You can also paste several song links at once, one per line, to get them in one list. Or skip links completely and just type the song or artist into the box to search.
Troubleshooting
“Not found”: the playlist may be private (only its owner can see it), or the song may be unavailable in some countries. Check that the link opens in a private browser window.
Podcast links don’t work: Spot Downloader handles music only; podcasts and audiobooks aren’t supported.
Paste doesn’t work: tap and hold in the box and choose Paste, or allow clipboard access when your browser asks.
