How to Copy a Facebook Video or Reel Link on Any Device

Facebook hides the link in different places. Where to find it for Reels, feed videos and Watch videos on every device.

Every download starts with a link. Facebook hides it in different places depending on whether you’re watching a Reel, a video in your feed or a Watch video, and on which device. Here is where to find it everywhere.

In the Facebook app (iPhone and Android)

Reels:

  1. Open the Reel full screen.
  2. Tap the Share arrow on the right side.
  3. Tap Copy link. If it isn’t visible, swipe the row of options sideways or tap More.

Videos in your feed:

  1. Tap Share under the post.
  2. Tap Copy link.

Facebook Watch videos: tap the video to open it, then Share → Copy link.

On a computer

  1. Reels: open the Reel, click Share (the arrow), then Copy link. The address bar also works: it shows a link containing /reel/.
  2. Feed videos: click the video’s date or time (next to the poster’s name) to open it on its own page, then copy the address bar. Or click ⋯ → Copy link where available.
  3. Watch videos: the address in the bar while the video plays is the link.

In Facebook Lite and the mobile website

Tap Share under the video and choose Copy link. On m.facebook.com you can also long-press the video’s date and choose Copy link address.

From Messenger or another app

If someone sent you a Facebook link, long-press it and choose Copy (Android) or Copy Link (iPhone).

All of these work in FB Reels Downloader:

Type What the link contains
Reel /reel/ followed by a number
Video on a profile or Page /videos/ followed by a number
Watch video /watch/?v= followed by a number
Share link /share/r/ or /share/v/, or a short fb.watch link

Extra bits after a ?, like tracking codes, can stay in the link.

Then download it

  1. Open FB Reels Downloader.
  2. Tap Paste, then Download.
  3. Choose HD or SD MP4 with sound, or Audio for just the sound.

If you get “not found”, the video probably isn’t public; see why some Facebook videos can’t be downloaded.

Quick fix for “Paste” not working

Browsers sometimes need your permission to read the clipboard. Tap and hold inside the link box and choose Paste from the menu, or allow clipboard access when your browser asks.

“Not found” usually means the video isn’t public. Which Facebook videos can be downloaded, how to check, and what to do instead.
